A storm-shrouded alien vessel called Throne hangs over a country that refuses to explain itself, and that uncertainty gives Angeline Era much of its pull. This nonlinear 3D action-adventure follows Tets Kinoshta, a former soldier travelling with the angel Arkas Gemini, as they search for a way through the storm and toward the truth behind the wreck. Its world moves from ancient forests and hazardous ruins to lonely mountain paths, mines, and settlements, mixing melancholy fantasy with odd humour and sudden danger. The atmosphere is mysterious rather than relentlessly grim, but its story carries weight through themes of loss, faith, betrayal, and longing.
