The simultaneous-control concept is the main differentiator, making Archons feel less like a standard action RPG and more like a demanding coordination challenge. Local co-op offers a more approachable way to tackle the campaign with another player, while Endless Mode suits anyone who wants to push a favorite setup against escalating waves. Archons is best for veterans of arcade action and RPG customization who enjoy learning complex controls, but patient newcomers can also find a rewarding challenge if they embrace its health-for-power risks.
