Its striking visual presentation resembles a moving graphic novel: digitally performed actors appear through stylized, layered imagery rather than conventional animation, giving scenes a distinctive suspended-in-time quality. That approach can take a chapter to adjust to, but it suits the game’s focus on memory, perspective, and the way a single traumatic night lingers across generations. Compared with Life is Strange, The Walking Dead, or Detroit: Become Human, the branching is more focused on intimate family fallout than broad spectacle, while the multiplayer voting adds something those games largely lack.
