ASKA places you in a procedurally generated Nordic land filled with forests, coastlines, caves, old landmarks, and hostile supernatural forces. Rather than surviving as a lone raider forever, you gather followers and establish a functioning tribe capable of feeding, housing, defending, and sustaining itself. The mood shifts between peaceful construction, hard labor, tense exploration, and desperate battles against the cold and the creatures it brings.

You begin by harvesting basic materials, hunting animals, crafting tools, and putting down the essential structures that keep people alive. Villagers can be assigned specialized roles such as gathering, farming, crafting, cooking, mining, or fighting, but they are not interchangeable resource machines: each has personal needs, routines, and growing skills that affect how well the settlement operates. Building a larger village means balancing storage, food supplies, workshops, homes, defenses, and workforce priorities while personally joining expeditions for rarer materials. Combat uses direct, skill-focused action rather than automatic battles, and the seasonal weather system constantly forces you to reconsider what matters most. Up to four players can share the workload in co-op, making larger settlements and dangerous trips easier to coordinate.
