Game Overview
Show business looks glamorous from the outside, but Backstage Pass treats it as a demanding career full of unstable work, awkward connections, and choices that can redirect an entire future. Players follow Sian Goodin, a college student who reluctantly relies on the makeup skills she learns from her professional mother after an accident disrupts her plans. Her route through the entertainment industry can lead toward dependable academic success, increasingly prestigious behind-the-scenes jobs, or a much riskier life among actors, idols, and producers. The tone balances romantic visual-novel drama with the everyday pressure of paying bills, managing time, and deciding what kind of adult Sian wants to become.
Most of the play revolves around scheduling Sian’s days, taking makeup assignments, improving her abilities, earning money, and meeting the right people at the right moments. Work raises her standing in the industry and opens more opportunities, while school responsibilities and personal relationships compete for the same limited time. Romance routes allow Sian to pursue several very different partners, from recognizable screen talent to an aspiring pop performer, but career decisions remain just as important as dating choices. Branching decisions, stat requirements, and time-management planning give the story more structure than a straightforward click-through novel, and more than 15 endings encourage repeat playthroughs.
Its strongest hook is the focus on the people who work around fame rather than simply placing the heroine in the spotlight. Sian’s wardrobe contains over 80 clothing options, with outfits appearing in illustrated scenes, so customization feels connected to the presentation instead of being a detached menu feature. Fully voiced English dialogue, a substantial collection of CG artwork, animated opening and closing sequences from Studio DEEN, and an original soundtrack give the production a polished otome-anime feel. Fans of stat-driven romance games such as Tokimeki Memorial Girl’s Side or other Sakevisual visual novels should find plenty to enjoy, while newcomers get an approachable introduction to the genre with meaningful career and relationship choices.

How do I update my GPU drivers for this game?
The game won't launch — what should I try?
This game requires Version 9.0c. Try running in compatibility mode, install the latest DirectX runtime, or install the All-in-One VC Redist Package.

Antivirus false positives are common with pre-installed games. Temporarily pause your antivirus during extraction to prevent it from quarantining game files. You can re-enable it after the extraction completes.
