Driving revolves around controlling powerful Trophy Trucks, buggies, 4x4s, and other purpose-built vehicles across huge open environments and more traditional race routes. Suspension travel, traction, speed, and vehicle weight all matter, so success comes from reading the ground, easing through damaging sections, and knowing when to attack a jump rather than simply holding the accelerator. Career progression opens events and gives access to a deep garage of over 160 licensed vehicles, while hundreds of performance parts let players tune engines, tires, shocks, and other components for specific conditions. Damage is more than cosmetic: blown tires, stressed suspension, overheating engines, and battered bodywork require attention from support crews, adding a welcome layer of race management.

Its greatest strength is scale, with more than 1,000 miles of drivable landscape, nine open areas, hidden routes, and over 100 tracks spread across varied desert terrain. Hill climbs, open-class battles, circuits, and marathon Baja events keep the structure varied, while free-roaming offers a break from organized competition. The handling has a heavier, less instantly approachable feel than arcade racers such as DiRT, but that is exactly what gives successful runs their payoff. Fans of technical off-road racing, vehicle tuning, and old-school endurance challenges find far more to enjoy here than players looking for instant, lightweight arcade thrills.
