Ben Tennyson’s summer road trip turns into a fast-moving superhero brawl when villains threaten the world and the Rust Bucket crew gets pulled into the chaos. Based on the 2016 animated series, Ben 10 is a colorful third-person action adventure built for direct, accessible fun rather than complicated RPG systems. Ben, Gwen, and Grandpa Max travel across familiar cartoon locations while facing threats from Zombozo, Queen Bee, and the Weatherheads. The mood stays playful and energetic, with plenty of alien transformations, exaggerated combat, and TV-show-style banter.

Most of the action revolves around switching Ben into one of his ten alien forms and using the right powers for the situation. Four Arms brings heavy close-range hits, Heatblast attacks from a distance, XLR8 emphasizes speed, and other transformations offer their own attacks and traversal abilities. Levels combine straightforward exploration, enemy encounters, destructible objects, collectible items, light environmental puzzles, and arena-style boss fights. New aliens and abilities unlock as the campaign progresses, expanding Ben’s options while keeping the controls simple enough for younger players or anyone unfamiliar with action games. Ultimate attacks provide powerful finishers when fights become crowded, rewarding players who learn when to unleash each form’s strongest move.

Its biggest strength is the way it turns the franchise’s central transformation gimmick into a practical combat toolkit rather than a cosmetic feature. The bright cel-shaded presentation and compact missions capture the pace of a Saturday-morning cartoon, while the varied alien roster prevents combat from becoming completely repetitive. Don’t expect the depth of a character-action game such as Devil May Cry or the open-ended exploration of LEGO titles; the design is more linear, lighter, and focused on immediate momentum. Ben 10 suits younger fans especially well, but longtime viewers who want a breezy, uncomplicated adventure with recognizable villains and plenty of Omnitrix-powered smashing will find a solid adaptation.
