Crowe, Rain, Johan, and their allies leave the Garden of Light carrying the trauma of its experiments, while the capture of Jeani gives their flight an urgent personal cost. Their search for another facility and the arrival of a woman claiming to be Lunaflare pull the party into a conflict between Northern and Southern forces.
