Its tone is high-fantasy and political rather than character-action focused, placing military planning, territorial pressure, and the fate of whole kingdoms in your hands.

Each campaign alternates between preparation and invasion. During organization phases, you assign priorities, develop troops, and improve the personnel who will carry your nation’s ambitions into the next conflict; limited time makes every decision matter. Attack phases let you push across borders, claim useful resources, and weaken opponents, though expansion always means exposing yourself to another front. Battles unfold as turn-based clashes on hexagonal maps, where positioning and target selection are crucial: concentrating on enemy leaders can force a withdrawal, while eliminating individual units offers a slower but more methodical route to victory.

Six nation-specific narratives provide the main story mode with different perspectives on the revived empire, while Mission Mode opens the field to 24 playable nations and their own victory conditions.
