Six rival realms, each led by a ruler tied to an ancient Brigandine, fight to bring a colorful but troubled fantasy land under one flag. The tone sits between grand high-fantasy drama and deliberate tabletop warfare, with political ideals, personal rivalries, and old legends giving weight to the conquest. Rather than simply marching an anonymous army across a map, you build a force around named knights and the monsters willing to follow them.

Each seasonal turn divides your attention between managing territory and launching invasions. During organization, knights receive equipment, recruit creatures, and form three-unit squads before being assigned to defend forts or strike at vulnerable neighbors; the attack phase then moves those forces onto compact hex-grid battlefields. Combat rewards careful positioning, since terrain, elemental relationships, unit abilities, movement range, and surrounding enemies all influence the result. Victories earn experience and allow both knights and monsters to develop through classes, while losses can permanently weaken a campaign’s momentum. Enemy states do not wait passively, so spreading too far without capable defenders creates the kind of tense strategic problems that make each decision stick.

Its greatest strength is the blend of broad nation management with intimate tactical battles: a single well-developed mage, dragon, or frontline knight can become central to an entire playthrough.
