The campaign favors a cinematic, somber tone over power fantasy, with muddy trenches, ruined towns, and desperate assaults carrying a weight that the series’ futuristic entries often leave behind.

Gunfights center on recognizable period weapons, including the M1 Garand, Thompson, BAR, and MP-40, all built for aggressive close-quarters pushes and tense mid-range exchanges. Health no longer automatically regenerates; instead, squadmates supply medkits, ammunition, spotting support, and grenades when their abilities recharge, making positioning and teamwork matter even in solo play. War mode stands apart from standard deathmatch playlists by asking teams to build, escort, sabotage, and defend across shifting objectives.
