Its cartoonish corporate satire keeps the mood playful, but the battlefield asks for careful planning as bizarre alien life and unstable terrain turn every assignment into a compact tactical puzzle.

Each mission begins with a limited hand of cards and a planet divided into hexes. Playing cards creates and directs Clonees, who claim territory, gather resources, erect useful structures, and fight the local Faultees; losing a unit is often survivable, but wasting one can leave an objective exposed. Cards come from distinct company departments, encouraging different deck themes and combinations, while upgrades, blueprints, equipment, and Clonee specializations steadily reshape your options during a run. Between planets, you chart a randomized galaxy, choose missions and risks, barter with questionable extraterrestrial merchants, and deal with odd events that can help a build or derail it.

The key appeal lies in how spatial positioning matters as much as card synergy. Terrain types, alien behaviors, mission rules, and building placement ensure that a powerful deck alone does not solve every encounter, giving the game a more deliberate feel than many combat-focused deckbuilders. Randomized maps, unlockable cards, ships, cosmetics, and tougher challenge levels provide strong reasons to return after the first successful campaign.
