Game Overview

A relentlessly chaotic platforming adventure turns a fairy-tale rescue into a joke-filled struggle against absurd danger. Cloudberry Kingdom follows retired hero Bob as the Orb’s return throws Princess, the unhinged Kobbler, and the whole kingdom back into conflict. The story plays like a deliberately silly cartoon, with exaggerated personalities and frequent gags framing an experience that is far more demanding than its colorful visuals suggest. Beneath the slapstick lies a precision platformer built to keep escalating until every jump, dodge, and split-second correction matters.

Levels send players running through obstacle courses packed with collapsing platforms, spikes, lasers, fireballs, moving saws, enemies, and sudden shifts in gravity. Bob is not limited to one style of movement: different hero types introduce jetpacks, double jumps, rockets, skating, tiny character models, and other modifiers that completely change how a stage is approached. The campaign steadily introduces new hazards, while arcade-style modes and customizable challenge settings let players tune the chaos from approachable platforming to near-impossible reflex tests. Local multiplayer supports cooperative and competitive runs, although sharing a screen with several players often makes already frantic levels even more entertainingly messy.

Its standout feature is procedural level design that combines hazards in countless ways, allowing stages to scale their complexity without feeling like simple repeats. The Hero Factory goes beyond costumes, letting players alter a character’s physical behavior and movement traits, then see how those choices affect survival. That flexibility gives newcomers room to build a manageable challenge, while veterans can create brutal gauntlets that rival the toughest moments in Super Meat Boy or Trials. Players who enjoy precise platforming, unpredictable obstacle courses, and a knowingly ridiculous story find plenty to enjoy, but anyone allergic to repeated deaths should expect the kingdom to test their patience.

Why should I run the game as administrator?

Right-click the game executable and select "Run as Administrator" to avoid save file issues and permission errors. This is especially important on the first launch.

How do I update my GPU drivers for this game?
