Zaun’s toxic streets become a fast, colorful playground for Ekko, a teenage inventor trying to protect his community from forces that threaten to tear it apart. CONVERGENCE: A League of Legends Story is a single-player 2D action-platformer that turns one of League’s most popular champions into the lead of a focused, character-driven adventure. Its mood balances Saturday-morning energy, street-level rebellion, and genuine paranoia as Ekko’s search for answers reveals dangers within the Undercity. Familiar League characters appear, but the story stands on its own well enough for players who have never touched the competitive game.

Ekko spends most of the campaign sprinting across Zaun’s densely layered districts, chaining jumps, wall runs, slides, rail grinds, and dashes to reach hidden routes and collectibles. Combat favors mobility and timing: he strikes with his timewinder, evades aggressive enemies, builds combos, and learns when to interrupt attacks rather than simply trading hits. The Zero Drive is the central trick, letting Ekko rewind a few seconds after a missed platforming move, a bad dodge, or a reckless engagement, then immediately apply what he learns. New movement powers and combat upgrades gradually open previously inaccessible paths, giving its tightly built levels a light Metroidvania structure without bogging down the pace.

Double Stallion gives Zaun a vivid hand-drawn look that captures its industrial grime, neon machinery, and improvised neighborhoods far better than a generic fantasy backdrop could. Rewinding never feels like a gimmick pasted onto a platformer; it supports experimentation, softens frustrating mistakes, and makes difficult encounters feel more tactical than punishing. Bosses and champion encounters provide the biggest tests, demanding close attention to patterns while still leaving room for Ekko’s speed and creativity. Fans of Ori, Guacamelee!, or polished modern action-platformers should find plenty to enjoy, while League veterans get extra value from seeing Zaun and its cast through a more personal lens.
