Corpse Party 2: Dead Patient follows Ayame Itou, a schoolgirl who wakes from a coma strapped to an operating table with almost no memory of who she is or why she is there. Rather than simply recycling the haunted-school formula of earlier Corpse Party entries, it shifts toward medical horror, amnesia-driven storytelling, and a mystery that unfolds through patient records and environmental details. Dead Patient is also structured as an episodic story, so its opening chapter leaves major questions hanging instead of delivering a fully self-contained finale. Fans of Corpse Party, Ib, The Witch’s House, and other puzzle-focused Japanese horror games will find plenty to like, especially if they value atmosphere and narrative over combat.
