CORPUS EDAX (v2026.05.16)

A rigidly stratified colony city becomes the stage for a first-person RPG built around improvisation, physicality, and political consequence. After awakening from a medically induced coma, you enter a retro-futurist settlement founded by humanity after Earth becomes uninhabitable, only to find its World Government suppressing cultural identity and ranking citizens by usefulness. Revolution simmers beneath its clean authoritarian surface, with the insurgent Salvation offering one vision of justice and personal ambition offering another. CORPUS EDAX carries a gritty, reactive tone in which every locked door, suspicious guard, and street-level confrontation can become an opportunity to define your own kind of survivor.

Problems rarely demand one solution. Characters develop through conventional skills alongside the A.G.N.I.S. attributes—Allure, Grit, Nerd, Intuition, and Strength—which open combat, stealth, hacking, manipulation, and dialogue options. A blocked route can be bypassed by lockpicking, breaking an obstacle, hacking systems, charming somebody into helping, or physically arranging objects to climb over barriers and fences. Melee brawls emphasize the environment: pipes, chairs, and other found items can be swung, kicked, or thrown, while enemy reactions account for where a hit lands. Players can specialize as quick, quiet infiltrators, durable street fighters, or socially focused schemers who avoid violence whenever possible.

Its most promising feature is the way physical sandbox interaction and role-playing choices feed into the same situations rather than existing as separate systems. Dialogue responds not only to stats but also to an evolving reputation shaped by Insightful, Impetuous, and Altruistic behavior, potentially changing how people react and what responses become available. The layered city premise and flexible approach design recall the player freedom of Deus Ex, while the messy object-based combat has a rougher, more immediate feel than a traditional RPG. It suits players who enjoy experimenting with builds and alternate solutions, especially veterans of immersive sims, but its clear attribute-driven choices also give newcomers an understandable path into its reactive world.
