Bataille, Missouri becomes a prison overnight, sealed behind an unexplained perimeter and watched by towering machines that kill anyone attempting to flee. Crimson Spires casts you as Sheriff Erika Wright, a capable but increasingly isolated investigator trying to keep a frightened mining town together six months after an event known only as the Contingency. Its mood blends small-town Americana, conspiracy paranoia, vampire intrigue, and unsettling body horror, with a deliberately strange tone that recalls Twin Peaks more than a conventional detective thriller. Every resident seems to know part of the truth, yet trusting the wrong person can be as dangerous as the monsters outside the barricades.
