You play as Nomad, a special-forces soldier equipped with the adaptable Nanosuit, and its powers define the action. Cloak lets you slip past patrols or line up silent kills, Armor absorbs punishment during chaotic encounters, Strength enables brutal melee attacks and heavy-object throws, while Speed helps you reposition or cross open ground quickly. Broad outdoor levels reward experimentation: players can snipe from hillsides, sneak through foliage, hijack vehicles, plant explosives, or simply flatten opposition with scavenged weapons. Ammunition and suit energy keep those abilities from becoming effortless, while higher difficulty settings make enemy awareness and tactical planning far more important.

Unlike the tightly scripted corridors common to many shooters of its era, Crysis Remastered still feels unusually flexible in its opening and middle missions.
