A ruined industrial labyrinth becomes the stage for a bleak side-scrolling shooter about an amnesiac girl rebuilt as a weapon by a sinister religious order. CYAN BRAIN trades heroic power fantasy for oppressive survival, surrounding its protagonist with malfunctioning machines, distorted architecture, and fragments of a past she cannot trust. The tone is relentlessly grim, mixing sci-fi body horror, religious symbolism, and explicit adult material into a story where every answer seems to uncover a worse question.

Combat revolves around pushing through hostile corridors with a varied arsenal of firearms, mounted weapons, and close-range attacks when ammunition runs dry. Sixteen weapons, dozens of enemy types, environmental hazards, and execution sequences give encounters a more tactical rhythm than a simple run-and-gun; players need to watch ammo reserves, choose positioning carefully, and decide when melee is the safer option. Food raises hydration, and reaching maximum hydration produces healing supplies, adding a small but meaningful resource-management layer to the action. Death is also folded into the progression system through collectible Death Cards, while an in-game gallery tracks unlocked scenes, animations, and illustrations for players interested in completion.

Its strongest feature is the willingness to make vulnerability part of the presentation: damage affects the heroine’s appearance, violent defeats have bespoke animations, and saving restores her outfit rather than letting the visual punishment become permanent. Full-screen animated sequences and an unfolding narrative involving two cryptic figures give the campaign the feel of an adult horror fable instead of a purely mechanical arcade shooter. The experience is best suited to players who enjoy dark indie action in the vein of oppressive Metroidvania-adjacent shooters, but who are specifically comfortable with graphic violence and explicit sexual content.
