The mood channels grimy 1980s slasher cinema, balancing pulpy detective attitude with steadily escalating dread.

Players investigate the motel room by room, examining discarded belongings, reading clues, and piecing together its ugly past through environmental storytelling rather than lengthy cinematic interruptions.
