Its fantasy world is colorful rather than grim, but the stakes are ruthless: monsters hit hard, resources are scarce, and victory depends on planning several moves ahead. The Enhanced Edition expands the formula with more classes, races, challenges, and competitive daily runs.

Players choose a hero, enter a randomly generated dungeon, and clear a path toward its boss while carefully managing health, mana, gold, and consumable items. The key twist is exploration: uncovering untouched map tiles restores health and mana, so every square becomes a resource best saved until it is truly needed. Combat is turn-based and transparent, letting you calculate damage, exploit enemy traits, cast spells, use deities’ blessings, and find clever ways to defeat opponents that initially seem impossible. Successful runs feed into a larger kingdom-building progression system, unlocking new hero combinations and tougher scenarios, while seeded Daily Dungeons let everyone tackle the same layout and compare results.
