Its greatest strength is the scale of meaningful faction and Pretender customization. A monument-like god that empowers sacred troops plays nothing like an imprisoned archmage, a giant titan, or a dormant creature built around late-game magic research. Simultaneous turns keep multiplayer moving, and cooperative teams work well against AI or human opponents, though the interface and mountain of rules demand patience. Rather than chasing polished spectacle, it offers the kind of emergent depth associated with classic strategy sandboxes such as Master of Magic, but with far more intricate army scripting and magical warfare. It best suits veteran 4X players, aspiring armchair generals, and newcomers willing to learn through defeat.
