Rather than treating demons as disposable targets, the writing often frames them—and the humans around them—as troubled beings caught in larger tragedies, which gives the adventure more weight than its straightforward side-scrolling structure suggests. The result feels closer to a focused, Eastern-inspired cousin of Salt and Sanctuary or a more methodical action-platformer than an open-ended loot RPG. Players who enjoy precise boss fights, folklore-rich fantasy, and beautifully bleak 2D worlds find plenty to appreciate, while newcomers should be ready to learn its deliberate combat rhythm.
