An alien planet of ruined machinery and vanished people becomes the stage for a thoughtful 2D adventure built around curiosity rather than combat. You guide InI through a rescue mission that gradually turns into an archaeological investigation, piecing together what happened to an extinct civilization and why its technology still matters. The mood is mysterious and gently melancholy, with dense pixel-art landscapes giving each industrial relic, cave system, and forgotten laboratory a striking sense of place. Rather than rushing from objective to objective, Exographer asks players to observe, experiment, and uncover meaning in the environment.

Progress revolves around navigating a non-linear network of more than 20 interconnected areas spread across six distinct environments. InI gains new traversal abilities over time, opening routes that were previously unreachable and giving exploration a satisfying Metroidvania-like rhythm.
