Its strongest identity comes from using Indonesian folklore rather than recycling the usual Western ghosts, cults, and abandoned asylums. Exorcism Ritual also stands apart by pairing supernatural fear with a protagonist whose greed and need for public validation make him more complicated than a conventional innocent victim. The mansion’s puzzles, purchasable gear, and direct defensive tools create a blend closer to classic survival horror than purely evasive games such as Outlast.
