A murder accusation turns an ordinary school day into a sharp, time-sensitive social thriller set in a 1922 English boarding school. You play Verity Amersham, a scholarship student at Miss Mulligatawney’s School for Promising Girls, where privilege, gossip, and resentment simmer beneath polished uniforms. Facing expulsion before the day is over, Verity must clear her name, redirect suspicion, or exploit the chaos for her own advantage. The mood is witty and mischievous rather than grim, but every friendly conversation can hide a threat.

Expelled! plays like an open-ended detective visual novel built around movement, conversations, stealthy snooping, and careful timing. You choose where Verity goes around campus, whom she approaches, what she says, and whether she uses evidence honestly or plants it in somebody else’s path. Students and staff follow their own routines, react to what they witness, and retain knowledge of your lies, alliances, and questionable behaviour, making each decision part of a living social puzzle. A single run lasts roughly half an hour to 45 minutes, but the constantly advancing school-day clock makes rushed choices and missed opportunities feel meaningful.

Its standout feature is a morality system that actively rewards nastiness: acting more ruthlessly opens up options that a principled Verity never sees. The school functions less like a fixed story and more like a clockwork mystery whose characters keep moving without waiting for you, giving failed attempts real value as reconnaissance.
