The mood is knowingly dramatic and stylish, mixing noirish mercenaries, ancient forces, and animated cutscenes that recall the franchise’s distinctive visual identity. It is a direct continuation for long-time followers, but its new perspective and self-contained mission structure make the premise easy enough to follow for newcomers.

Combat revolves around controlling a small squad in real time, positioning each character behind cover and using their individual weapons or powers against armed guards and supernatural threats. Tactical Pause lets you stop the action to queue commands, coordinate flanks, place defensive turrets, sneak past patrols, or set up attacks before a firefight turns messy.
