The Alabaster is a silent corporate research vessel where every sealed door and abandoned workstation points toward a disaster nobody fully explains. Filament is a thoughtful sci-fi puzzle adventure built around untangling a mystery as much as untangling its fiendish cable-based challenges. Its atmosphere is lonely rather than frightening, with sterile corridors, distant stars beyond the windows, and a stranded pilot named Juniper serving as your constant voice on the other end of the line. Most of your time is spent entering self-contained puzzle chambers and connecting power nodes with a glowing filament. You guide a small rover around posts, barriers, and tight pathways, laying cable as you move; the catch is that the line cannot cross itself, so every route becomes a careful exercise in planning space, sequence, and escape routes. Puzzles are demanding but usually readable, asking players to understand a set of elegant rules rather than rely on reflexes or obscure item hunts. More than 300 challenges are scattered across the ship, and its largely open structure lets you walk away from a difficult room, investigate another wing, or return later with a fresh perspective. Optional puzzles and hidden documents give completionists extra reasons to scour every deck.
