Its tone mixes pulpy horror with deliberately silly humor, so the action feels more like an arcade creature feature than a grim survival game. The result is fast, loud, and built around mowing through crowds without taking the apocalypse too seriously.

Players choose from four distinct survivors and push through side-scrolling stages packed with enemies, platforming routes, environmental hazards, and optional tasks. Melee attacks, firearms, thrown weapons, special abilities, and evasive movement combine into a combo-driven combat system that rewards staying aggressive and managing large groups. Exploration matters because levels are not merely straight corridors: alternate paths, hidden pickups, side objectives, and score opportunities encourage revisits. Experience gained during missions unlocks stronger moves and useful upgrades, while new weapons and powers steadily make each character more capable against the increasingly nasty enemy types.

Co-op is the heart of the experience, supporting up to four players online and two locally, with teamwork making the tougher encounters far more manageable and far more entertaining. Character progression gives it more long-term structure than a typical arcade beat ’em up, while leaderboard chasing adds a competitive reason to replay stages and refine routes. The hand-drawn visual style, exaggerated monsters, and broad humor help it stand apart from more serious brawlers, even if its action remains firmly rooted in familiar genre fundamentals.
