Frame – Portals On Steroids is a first-person indie puzzler built around that simple but far-reaching idea: passing through a frame does not merely move you to another room, it can connect any two points and orientations in the level. The mood is clean, cerebral, and lightly playful rather than threatening, with familiar test-chamber ingredients such as cubes, switches, and carefully arranged obstacles turned unpredictable by the rules of its portal technology. Where many puzzle games teach one trick at a time, this one invites you to think about position, size, momentum, and perspective all at once.

Each chamber asks you to reach an exit by placing, moving, opening, or closing frames to create a useful path through impossible architecture. Cubes still need to sit on buttons and switches still unlock routes, but a box that is too large, too distant, or falling the wrong way can be resized, relocated, or subjected to a new gravitational direction through the right frame setup. A Paint Gun lets you create and remove frames dynamically, while the Light Gun changes the way objects interact with them, adding another layer to the puzzle language. Solutions come from experimentation as much as deduction: you test how a frame connection affects an object, revise your arrangement, and gradually learn how several spatial effects can work together. The difficulty comes from understanding consistent systems rather than reacting to scripted set pieces.

Its strongest feature is the ambition of its ruleset. Frames can exist in large numbers and at different sizes, and their behavior is designed to combine freely instead of being limited to hand-authored exceptions. That makes the game feel less like a sequence of locked tricks and more like a compact physics sandbox with tightly constructed goals.
