Character creation offers nine distinct classes, from direct spellcasters and fighters to specialists built around commanding summoned creations. Exploration follows a traditional isometric RPG format across more than 80 hand-crafted regions, filled with hostile patrols, hidden caches, faction outposts, dialogue-heavy encounters, and tactical turn-based battles. The signature system lets you spend essence to shape a personal army of bizarre creatures, then customize their statistics and abilities to suit an aggressive, defensive, or support-oriented party. Combat is demanding without being purely about killing: stealth, diplomacy, clever quest choices, and careful resource management often provide safer routes through difficult situations.
