Gori, a prototype feline with serious combat skills, fights alongside F.R.A.N.K., a foul-mouthed sentient hoverboard with blades, and the gloomy AI CH1-P. The result is loud, vulgar, colorful, and knowingly ridiculous, balancing cartoon charm with dismemberment-heavy violence and a surprisingly sincere rescue mission.

Combat revolves around keeping Gori moving. He grinds rails, drifts through arenas, launches into the air, and carves enemies apart with F.R.A.N.K. while mixing in explosive weapons and unlockable attacks. Encounters reward aggressive play, as chaining strikes, traversal moves, and crowd-clearing tools builds stylish high-score combos rather than encouraging cautious cover shooting. Levels also demand platforming precision, with toxic factories, garish city streets, carnivals, and arcade-themed spaces packed with hazards, enemies, and hidden routes. It is a focused single-player campaign, but collectibles give completion-minded players reasons to revisit stages for cosmetics, visual filters, and alternate looks for Gori.

What separates Gori: Cuddly Carnage from a standard character-action game is how fully it commits to its bizarre skate-and-slay identity. F.R.A.N.K. is both transportation and weapon, so movement has the loose, expressive energy of arcade skating games while combat carries shades of Devil May Cry-style combo chasing. The toy enemy designs are deliberately unsettling, and the 48-track soundtrack keeps the momentum high even when the jokes become as sharp as the board’s blades.
