Set in early-1990s America, Greyhill Incident follows Ryan Baker, an ordinary resident caught in an alien takeover that everyone is too frightened—or too distrustful—to report. The government’s explanations about strange lights and weather balloons ring hollow as the neighborhood watch arms itself, rumors spread, and the familiar fear of classic UFO fiction takes over. Its tone leans into B-movie alien-invasion horror, but treats Ryan’s situation with enough seriousness to make every trip through the dark feel dangerous.

Ryan is not a super-soldier, and survival depends more on caution than firepower. Players move through houses, sheds, streets, and rural corners of Greyhill, searching for useful objects, ammunition, keys, and clues while working through environmental puzzles. A baseball bat and revolver offer limited protection, yet ammunition remains scarce enough that avoiding the Greys is often smarter than confronting them head-on. Stealth, running, and carefully choosing when to fight form the central loop as Ryan attempts to reach a neighbor in trouble and gradually pieces together what the invaders are doing to the town.

What separates Greyhill Incident from broader alien shooters is its deliberately grounded perspective: the invasion is seen through the eyes of a frightened civilian with few resources and no reliable authority to trust. The neighborhood setting gives its horror a personal scale, turning garages, backyards, and dark living rooms into tense spaces rather than relying on sprawling military bases or cosmic battlefields. Its straightforward, story-led structure and familiar puzzle-adventure design make it more accessible than a punishing survival-horror experience, although players looking for deep combat systems may find it limited. Fans of low-budget 1990s UFO paranoia, stealthy survival tension, and games in the vein of classic Resident Evil-style resource management should find plenty to enjoy.
