Its mood is tense, methodical, and unforgiving: a careless peek, exposed limb, or poorly timed breach can end an operation instantly. Rather than turning players into indestructible action heroes, it demands the patience and discipline associated with late-1990s tactical shooters.

Missions revolve around planning a loadout, selecting equipment and weapons, entering dangerous spaces, and clearing objectives with deliberate communication and controlled force. Gunfights reward sightlines, cover discipline, muzzle awareness, and accurate shots; bullets leave the actual weapon muzzle, so firing around obstacles or through narrow openings works only when the rifle genuinely has a clear path. The True First-Person system also gives the character a full physical presence, meaning feet, shoulders, and weapon position matter as much as the camera view. Players can tackle AI-driven operations alone or cooperatively, while competitive modes provide a harsher test of coordination against human opponents; extensive weapon customization lets squads tailor rifles, optics, armor, clothing, and utility gear to the job.
