Multiplayer centers on uneven 1v4 matches, with one player controlling Michael and up to four taking the roles of Haddonfield’s defenders. Heroes search homes, gather improvised household tools and more substantial weapons, warn endangered residents, contact the authorities, and coordinate escapes while trying to survive an enemy built around stealth and relentless pursuit. Michael uses darkness, concealment, and specialized abilities to isolate targets, but indiscriminate violence carries consequences when frightened townspeople raise alarms or fight back. Its most promising feature is the larger horror-sandbox approach, where dynamic civilians, changing circumstances, and player-led responses make matches feel less scripted than a standard generator-repair asymmetrical game. Unreal Engine 5 visuals and cinematic lighting suit the franchise’s quiet streets and shadowy interiors, emphasizing suspenseful sightlines rather than exaggerated monster spectacle. Fans of Dead by Daylight-style multiplayer who want more environmental interaction, AI-driven chaos, and a recognizable slasher setting should find plenty to like. It also looks well suited to Halloween devotees, especially players who value the original film’s patient stalking and escalating neighborhood panic over fast, arcade-like horror.
