A dim building corridor becomes a pressure cooker in this compact first-person horror experience, where making it to 6 a.m. matters more than fighting back. Hallways trades weapons and elaborate escape routes for tense observation, scarce resources, and the nagging fear that something called Whiskers is moving just beyond the light. Its mood sits close to Five Nights at Freddy’s, but the threat feels more spatial: danger can approach from multiple directions, and every decision about illumination can leave another route exposed. The result is a stripped-down night-shift nightmare built around listening, waiting, and second-guessing your own timing.

Each run revolves around balancing the building’s finite power supply against your immediate need for safety. Wall switches light individual corridors and discourage attacks, yet keeping them active drains the power that ultimately keeps you alive. The generator charges a laptop, and that laptop is more than a menu screen: completing its tasks earns flashlight charges while also letting you monitor security systems. Flashing the light down a hallway provides brief but vital information on Whiskers’ position, so players need to read audio cues, choose which path to check, and avoid wasting their limited responses on panic.

What gives Hallways its replay value is its emphasis on unpredictable behavior rather than a completely memorized sequence of scares. The enemy AI is designed to vary its approaches between sessions, making reliable routines less useful and forcing players to stay alert to changing patterns. Small hidden events and Easter eggs add another reason to revisit nights after a successful survival run.
