It is less about telling a grand cinematic story than surviving the next dangerous outing and slowly turning a makeshift shelter into a fortified home.

Players create a survivor, choose skills as they level up, and head out to gather resources, complete quests, rescue people, and clear infected from randomized areas. Combat relies on melee weapons, firearms, crafted tools, and smart positioning, since reckless fighting quickly becomes overwhelming when hordes close in. Crafting sits at the center of the loop: scraps become weapons, armor, medicine, food, workstations, barricades, and traps, while better facilities unlock further recipes and stronger options.
