What separates Overtime from a standard retro shooter is its commitment to roguelite buildcraft without losing the directness of an arcade run-and-gun. Permanent upgrades, found gear, and changing route decisions create room for hundreds of combat combinations, so a failed bounty can still advance a preferred playstyle.
