A simple horizontal line splits every stage into two opposing worlds, and crossing it reverses gravity beneath your feet. Ibb & Obb is a deliberately minimalist two-player puzzle-platformer where one player may be standing on a ceiling while the other runs across the floor, forcing both of you to think in mirrored directions. Its clean black-and-white spaces, rounded characters, and gentle electronic atmosphere make it feel friendly at first, but the puzzles quickly demand precise timing and serious communication. Rather than chasing enemies or collecting loot, the appeal comes from solving strange spatial problems together.

Each level asks partners to manipulate gravity, activate switches, use moving platforms, and create safe routes for one another across gaps that only make sense from the opposite side of the divide. Players often need to bounce on enemy creatures, lure hazards into useful positions, or coordinate jumps so a friend can reach a previously impossible ledge. Progress comes from completing a sequence of increasingly intricate stages, with fifteen main areas introducing fresh twists without burying the action under complicated controls. Cooperative play is mandatory, but it supports both same-screen sessions and online partners, making it equally suited to a couch evening or a remote puzzle date.

What makes Ibb & Obb memorable is how completely it builds its challenges around collaboration: neither player is a helper, and neither can carry the other through the level alone. Eight concealed challenge worlds provide tougher tests for teams that master the main route, while achievements and leaderboard times give skilled duos reasons to replay. Kettel’s warm, melodic electronic soundtrack gives each area a distinct identity and softens the frustration of repeated failed jumps. Fans of Portal 2’s cooperative puzzles or the teamwork-focused platforming of Trine should find plenty to enjoy, though it works best with a patient partner willing to talk through every mistake.
