Krome is a neon-scarred dystopia where corporate rule has turned soldiers, machines, and failed experiments into an army of targets. INCARNAGE puts players in control of Nilus, a rebel fighter pushing back against Kro-Tech’s brutal grip on the city and hunting the force behind its spreading insanity. The tone is unapologetically loud, bloody, and arcade-driven, favoring constant pressure over cautious tactical play. Every room is built around the satisfaction of surviving a swarm by staying aggressive enough to turn the momentum in your favor.

Combat revolves around a simple but demanding idea: killing enemies makes Nilus move faster. That escalating speed turns each encounter into a risk-reward test, as a strong streak gives you the mobility to carve through larger groups but also makes positioning and evasive movement more difficult to control. The 35-level campaign sends you through six visually distinct sections of Krome, with enemy types that demand different reactions instead of serving as interchangeable cannon fodder. Beyond the main story, endless arena challenges and shifting dungeon-style runs offer a place to chase endurance records, sharpen movement skills, and see how long your momentum can last without a reset.

Its speed mechanic gives INCARNAGE more personality than a standard room-clearing shooter, creating a rhythm closer to a score-chasing arcade game than a slow, methodical action title. Hand-drawn comic cutscenes break up the violence and provide context for Nilus, Krome, and the regime he opposes without turning the campaign into a dialogue-heavy adventure.
