The tone balances looming fascist menace, booby-trapped tombs, and the dry humor expected of Indy, while keeping the focus on cinematic problem-solving rather than nonstop shooting.

Most of the adventure plays from a first-person viewpoint, with large, densely detailed locations that reward poking into side paths, photographing curiosities, collecting notes, and tracking down optional puzzles.
