Jitsu Squad is a side-scrolling beat ’em up that blends the approachable rhythm of arcade brawlers with the aerial freedom and screen-filling spectacle of competitive fighters. Its campaign pits the squad against the wicked sorcerer Origami and his army across vivid stages packed with exaggerated enemies, huge bosses, and slapstick destruction. The mood stays light and energetic, but the action moves fast enough to demand sharp reactions.

Each hero brings a distinct moveset, including rapid melee strings, launchers, ranged attacks, grabs, specials, and weapon pickups that can turn a crowded fight around. Battles reward players for juggling enemies in the air, extending combos, managing hostile groups, and using special attacks at the right time rather than simply mashing through every encounter. Up to four players can tackle the adventure together, while the tag-style mode lets one player switch between multiple squad members or allows two players to control a pair each. Soul orbs earned during fights feed the Ultimate Armor system, granting brief invulnerability and dramatically boosted attacks when the team needs to erase a boss health bar or survive a chaotic pileup.
