A brightly colored death course turns cooperation into a frantic reflex test, asking two players to keep a pair of constantly jogging heroes alive through lethal, color-coded obstacle rooms. Joggernauts looks cheerful and cartoonish, but its puzzle-platforming challenges are deliberately demanding: saws, gaps, spikes, moving hazards, and mismatched routes quickly punish even a tiny lapse in communication. The central twist is that neither player simply controls one character from start to finish. Instead, the team must coordinate swaps and jumps so the right runner reaches the right-colored terrain at precisely the right moment.

Each stage plays out as a compact action puzzle with the runners moving automatically, leaving players to master a stripped-down control scheme built around jumping and switching positions. A jump often needs to be called out in advance because both heroes are affected, while swapping places changes who can safely cross upcoming colored platforms or barriers. Timing becomes increasingly demanding as levels add tighter routes, faster hazards, and sequences where one mistake can strand a partner or send the whole team back to the checkpoint. Local cooperative play is the heart of the experience, and the game’s modifiers let groups tune the pace and danger level to fit a casual session or a far more punishing challenge.

What makes Joggernauts memorable is how much chaos it creates from such simple inputs. Its cooperative design feels closer to the communication-heavy pressure of Overcooked than a traditional platformer, except success depends on synchronized movement rather than managing a kitchen. The clean visual language makes the action readable even when the screen becomes hectic, while the escalating level design keeps finding new ways to test timing, trust, and the ability to calmly shout instructions at a friend. It suits couch co-op veterans who enjoy difficult coordination games, but newcomers can also have a great time if they accept that failure, laughter, and repeated retries are part of the deal.
