Jurassic Park: The Game

Isla Nublar becomes a panic-stricken survival thriller when the fences fail, the storm rolls in, and every emergency route leads closer to a dinosaur. Rather than using traditional action controls, the game plays as an interactive movie built around dialogue decisions, quick-time events, environmental investigation, and timed escape sequences. Players guide characters through encounters with Velociraptors, Triceratops, and the enormous T. rex, choosing reactions under pressure and occasionally deciding who receives help when everything goes wrong. Conversations shape character relationships and can alter immediate scenes, though the main narrative remains focused and largely linear across its four episodic chapters. The challenges are accessible, but quick reflexes matter during chases, fights, and moments where one missed prompt can end in a spectacularly brutal dinosaur attack.

Telltale’s approach makes the park feel less like a sandbox and more like a dangerous theme-park disaster viewed from the front row. Familiar locations gain new angles while original characters provide stakes beyond simply recreating famous movie scenes, and the creature animations still sell the size and menace of the dinosaurs. Some players may find the limited exploration and frequent button prompts restrictive compared with modern narrative adventures, but the pacing rarely lets the tension sag. Fans of Telltale’s earlier cinematic games, the Jurassic Park films, or accessible choice-driven thrillers will find a compact, story-first romp that is especially rewarding for anyone who has wanted to see what happened elsewhere on the island during the original disaster.
