A cursed pilgrimage around a sacred temple forms the heart of Kingdom Loop, a strategy RPG where every circuit brings greater rewards and deadlier resistance. Humans and undead fight over a legendary Grail whose promise of ending death instead unleashes a world of corpses, ruined land, and desperate ambition. The mood is grim but methodical: success comes from planning a route, growing a force, and deciding when to gamble against threats that become more dangerous every lap. Rather than pushing through a conventional campaign map, you reshape the road itself and live with the consequences of every placement.

Each run revolves around assembling a deck of terrain and tactical cards, then laying tiles along the circular path to influence encounters, resources, and battlefield conditions. Victories supply new cards, gold, equipment, artifacts, and materials, while the lands beyond the road support fortress upgrades, recruitment, and longer-term economic choices. Combat uses turns but keeps the pace brisk, emphasizing unit positioning, target priorities, hero attributes, and the timing of special abilities. More than 200 possible tiles make route construction a central challenge, since a useful resource engine or combat bonus can also create dangers that punish an unprepared army.

Two opposing factions offer distinct heroes, unit rosters, and strategic identities, giving the game more variety than a single-path deckbuilder. Each side fields over twenty units, and hero growth, gear, artifacts, and tile synergies allow radically different approaches from one loop to the next. The roguelike structure means failure is part of learning: players gradually understand which combinations can sustain an army through later, harsher circuits.
