A laboratory virus turns abandoned districts into feeding grounds, leaving you as the cleaner sent to reclaim them one undead body at a time. Limsod is a straightforward zombie FPS built around fast shooting, mounting pressure, and the constant risk of encountering infected enemies with nastier abilities than the standard shamblers. Its tone is more arcade survival challenge than cinematic horror story, with missions pushing you to clear dangerous spaces and return alive. The appeal comes from seeing how long basic gear lasts before the hordes force you to rethink your loadout.

Combat centers on eliminating eight zombie variants, each designed to disrupt familiar run-and-gun habits with its own traits. More than 35 maps provide the backdrop for 80 quests and objectives, while successful runs bring you back to base to improve weapons and unlock modifications that noticeably affect how you fight. Survival asks you to last five minutes, Defense has you protect an antenna from attacking hordes, and Unlimited removes the timer for a longer endurance run. Other modes change the rules further: Point Race rewards every action, Time Saving turns kills into extra survival time, Melee alters your offensive approach, and Training offers a low-stakes shooting range.

Variety is Limsod’s strongest weapon, especially for players who prefer short, score-driven FPS sessions over a single scripted campaign. Death Sleeves gradually opens new parts of a map and changes the gameplay as you progress, while Preview mode lets you inspect environments without enemies breathing down your neck. Custom mode is particularly useful for tailoring the challenge, allowing players to adjust the parameters and build a preferred horde scenario. Fans of compact zombie shooters in the vein of arcade survival modes from Call of Duty or Killing Floor should find plenty to work through, while newcomers benefit from the training and adjustable rule sets.
