Castle Harwood becomes a demon-infested deathtrap in Lost Castle, a colourful 2D action roguelike that mixes old-school brawling with punishing dungeon runs. Its hand-drawn cartoon art and goofy enemies give the adventure a playful personality, but the challenge is serious: one bad fight or poorly timed dodge can end an otherwise promising expedition. You enter for the fortune buried behind the castle’s fall, then quickly find yourself cutting through monsters, avoiding traps, and chasing the next useful piece of loot.

Each run sends you through shifting rooms packed with enemies, bosses, treasure chests, merchants, hazards, and random events. Combat revolves around a large pool of weapons with dramatically different move sets, from quick swords and spears to heavy hammers, bows, magical staves, and bizarre improvised tools; learning a weapon’s range, combo timing, and special attack matters as much as raw damage. Equipment, consumables, relics, and temporary upgrades steadily shape a build, while deaths return you to the start and ask you to adapt to a new dungeon layout. Solo play delivers a focused test of reactions and resource management, while local or online co-op for up to four players turns the chaos into a much louder, more forgiving party brawler.

What separates Lost Castle from many roguelikes is its blend of arcade-style melee combat and a deliberately silly fantasy presentation. Monsters burst with visual character, weapon animations sell their weight, and unpredictable gear drops encourage experimentation rather than locking players into a single class.
