Lucius

A quiet 1960s mansion becomes a remarkably nasty playground when a six-year-old boy discovers that Satan has plans for him. Lucius casts you as the unnervingly calm child of Dante Manor, turning birthdays, family routines, and household chores into opportunities for murder. Rather than surviving a haunted house, you are the source of its horror, stalking servants and relatives while an unseen demonic influence pushes you toward increasingly elaborate killings. The tone is deliberately pulpy and sinister, mixing supernatural horror with the awkwardness of a child moving through an adult world that does not yet recognize the threat.

Gameplay plays like a third-person adventure built around stealth, observation, and environmental puzzles. Each target requires you to inspect rooms, collect useful objects, listen for routines, and arrange a fatal “accident” without being caught in the act. Lucius gradually gains infernal abilities including telekinesis, mind control, and fire-based powers, letting him manipulate people and machinery when ordinary sabotage is not enough. Progression is largely mission-based, with new sections of the manor and more complicated setups opening as the body count rises; getting seen at the wrong moment can bring suspicion and force a retry.

Its most memorable idea is the reversal of the usual horror-game role: Lucius is not an innocent victim escaping evil, but a young monster engineering it. The sprawling manor provides a suitably claustrophobic stage, and the period setting gives its household objects, old appliances, and formal social rules a distinctive puzzle-game flavor. Some solutions can feel rigid, and the deliberately slow movement may test players expecting action-heavy horror, but the murder scenarios reward patience and experimentation. Fans of adventure games, stealth puzzlers, and the darkly mischievous tone of titles such as Hitman will find a strange, memorable horror experience here, while newcomers should be ready for old-school trial-and-error design.
