Megadimension Neptunia VII follows Neptune, Nepgear, and their fellow CPUs through a story that moves from a ruined Zero Dimension to a politically unstable Hyperdimension and beyond. The tone remains proudly silly, full of game-industry jokes, pudding obsession, and anime banter, but the central conflict carries more weight than usual as a new enemy threatens the nations and the goddesses’ identities. Multiple story arcs give the adventure a broader scope than earlier Neptunia entries while keeping the cast’s familiar chaotic charm intact.

Combat uses turn-based party battles on compact 3D arenas, letting players move characters into position before unleashing attacks, skills, items, and devastating EXE techniques. Characters build combo chains by assigning different attacks to buttons, so experimenting with hit counts, elemental effects, and enemy breaks matters more than simply selecting the strongest command. Dungeon runs involve gathering materials, completing guild requests, fighting optional monsters, and upgrading equipment through a progression system that steadily expands the party’s options.
