XX stands out through its enormous roster and the way each character subtly changes the feel of a run, especially Leona’s powerful close-range Moon Slasher and Ralf’s aggressive attacks. The PC version presents the detailed sprites cleanly at modern resolutions, though its visual identity remains proudly rooted in the chunky arcade-era style. Difficulty can be fierce, particularly for players chasing one-credit clears or high scores, but generous continues make the campaign approachable for newcomers who simply want to see its wild set pieces.
